Situation
To celebrate another century of candle making, Lanthorn is releasing a special-edition candle with custom packaging and an accompanying matchbook featuring the history of candles in London.

Solution
This anniversary packaging mimics a historic metal lantern. A matchbook, tucked away in the lid of the box, includes an illustrated timeline detailing the history of public lighting since the 1400s. The lantern’s lid can be placed underneath the box, pushing up the false bottom and revealing a candle ready to be lit.
