Create a positive, educational activity fostering creativity and supporting a local means of nutrition and interaction within the community.

Situation
As a mentor in the AIGA Shine program, I worked with my mentee, Hannah Chiarella, to identify a way to give back to the community through design.

Solution
Teach children about block printing and make vegetables fun through an interactive popup booth at the Petworth Community Market. I handled the design of the event branding in addition to illustrating one of the coloring-page style coasters (using witty puns to make vegetables fun). Hannah took care of event planning and illustrated two more coloring-page style coasters . We each carved out two linocuts for block printing.
